Louis-Jules Barbon Mancini-Mazarini, duc de Nevers (1716-1798), known as Nivernois, was French ambassador to Britain from 1762-1763. At the age of 14 he was married to the 15-year-old Hélène-Françoise-Angélique Phélypeaux de Pontchartrain (1715–1781). Montagu had frequently met him and his wife in London.
