Samuel Lapidge was an English surveyor. In 1765 he was taken on by Lancelot Brown as a draughtsman and surveyor. Lapidge worked with Brown until Brown's death in 1783, making plans and supervising the work of the foremen. He also often completed Brown's contracts and took on new ones, finally giving up business in about 1801.F
