Hugh Hume-Campbell, 3rd Earl of Marchmont (1708-1794), was a Scottish politician, and Governor of the Bank of Scotland from 1763-1790. From his first marriage he had three daughters and a son who died young. He made a second marriage in 1748 to Elizabeth Crompton (d. 1797), and they had one son, Alexander Hume-Campbell, Lord Polwarth (1750–1781). He predeceased his father in 1781, without issue by his marriage to Amabel Grey.
