Gender: F

Elizabeth Pepys, née Dowdeswell, was born to William Dowdeswell (1721-1775), M.P. for Tewkesbury (1747-1754) and Worcestershire (1761-1775) and Bridget Codrington (1730-1818), she married (1777) Sir William Weller Pepys (1740-1825), socialite and correspondent of Montagu. She appears as a tagential figure in Montagu's correspondence with her husband, and there are no letters from Montagu addressed directly to her.
